Manny Rodriguez of ABA Technologies Working to Lower Employees' Risk Tolerances

Our Safety Summit alumni will remember the insightful hazard recognition presentation from Manny Rodriguez of ABA Technologies. Since May, Manny has continued using his expertise as a behavior-based safety analyst, guiding and helping many companies so that their employees learn to recognize and address hazards in the workplace.

Manny is currently working with universities like the Florida Institute of Technology and the University of California – Sacramento to apply hazard recognition and behavior based safety principles to lower employees’ risk tolerances. The hope is to secure federal grant funding for continued research in this area so that even more organizations can provide a safe environment that is a function of both organizational processes and employee behaviors. More recently, Manny facilitated his impactful hazard recognition workshop as part of a “Safety Standout” initiative for miners working for a Wyoming mining company that specializes in ore mining.

Interested in getting involved? Manny is looking for more organizations willing to participate in this research.
